Joaquin Piante a Lapio N.V. is a new project by Joaquin Sarl, born of Raffaele Pagano's constant pursuit of excellence and experimentation. This bottle completely transcends the concept of "Cru"; the chosen reference plot, Piante a Lapio in Località Boschi, represents one of the most beautiful and promising vineyards in the entire appellation.
Thanks to the nearby forest that regulates temperature fluctuations and the incredible slope and position of the vineyard, this site produces grapes of very high quality, among the best in the entire area.
The N.V. label is dedicated to a very high level of quality, bringing together class and harmony in two beautiful, opposing but complementary vintages, 2014 and 2020. This marriage has resulted in a wine that has the ingredients to surpass any other Fiano production to date, with maximum balance, harmony, complexity and longevity.
The vineyards are located at 550 meters above sea level and have an average age of 35 years. The wine first ages in chestnut and acacia tonneaux, followed by further aging in bottle for at least one year.
The color is golden yellow, with bright highlights. The nose reveals soft aromas of ripe yellow fruit, citrus notes of citrus and subtle nuances of vanilla and toasted almonds.
Rich, creamy, mineral and harmonious; the palate has an important structure with wonderfully expressive intensity, supported by a lively framework of freshness, finishing with savory and mineral flavors.
