Sauvignon Blanc Berto & Fiorella

Sauvignon Blanc D.O.C.

The grapes of Berto & Fiorella's Sauvignon Blanc are harvested in the last ten days of August and the first ten days of September. They are then carefully destemmed and briefly macerated. Then they are gently pressed and the resulting juice is clarified. The juice is divided into two parts: one part ferments at a controlled temperature in stainless steel containers, while the other part ferments in medium toasted oak barrels.

After fermentation, the wine remains on fine lees for six months. The bottled wine is stored in temperature-controlled rooms.

The color is yellowish with green tones; full, bright and fresh.

On the nose, the wine is strong, typical, elegant and complex. The richness of the aromas highlights fruity notes of black currant, passion fruit, white melon; elderflower; spicy notes of chili and ginger; and the freshness of oregano and mint leaves. Varietal notes of boxwood and tomato leaf combine with light citrus accents of lime and grapefruit. Constantly evolving.

On the palate, this Sauvignon Blanc is broad, fresh, rich and balanced. The complexity of the aromas matches excellently on the palate. Hints of lime and sage mingle with an explosion of tropical and ripe fruit. Great freshness, pleasant saltiness and balanced acidity. Long and progressive finish with mineral hints, remarkably persistent.

Serving temperature: 13-15°C
